This webinar will discuss issues related to implementing the Common European Framework of References for language (CEFR) in English Language Education, especially in the Malaysian Education system. The speaker is a Professor at the Language Academy, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She was the Chair of the English Language Standards and Quality Council in the Ministry of Education, responsible for the planning of the English Reform Roadmap 2015 -2025 as part of the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025. The roadmap serves, among others, as a guideline for ELT practitioners to align their teaching practice with the CEFR.  Her work has earned her the award for the Top 25 Outstanding Women Listeners in the World 2021 by the Global Listening Centre (GLC), a dedicated premier international non-profit organisation which promotes the noble cause of listening worldwide and encourages individuals, organizations and institutions to work together to meet the urgent challenges of society.
